Welcome to GLYDE.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GLYDE website, products and services. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.

1. About GLYDE

GLYDE is a New Zealand-owned swimming and triathlon brand providing premium wetsuits, swimwear, goggles, accessories, apparel, training equipment and related products.

Throughout these Terms, "GLYDE", "we", "our" and "us" refer to GLYDE.

"You" refers to the customer or website user.

2. Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or

  • You have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.

  • You are authorised to use the payment method supplied.

3. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Specifications may change without notice as products are improved.

  • Images may include accessories not included with the product.

Minor variations do not constitute faults.

5. Pricing

All prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Prices include GST for New Zealand orders.

  • International customers may be charged duties or taxes by their local authorities.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

We reserve the right to change pricing without notice.

6. Promotions

Promotional offers:

  • Cannot normally be combined unless specifically stated.

  • Are available only while stocks last.

  • May be withdrawn or amended without notice.

  • May exclude selected products.

Discount codes have no cash value.

7. Orders

An order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order.

Orders may be cancelled where:

  • Payment cannot be authorised.

  • Stock is unavailable.

  • Pricing errors occur.

  • Fraud is suspected.

  • Shipping restrictions apply.

  • Incorrect information has been provided.

If an order cannot be fulfilled, any payment received will be refunded.

8. Product Availability

While we aim to maintain accurate inventory, stock levels may occasionally differ.

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we may:

  • Offer an alternative.

  • Delay shipment.

  • Issue a refund.

  • Partially fulfil the order.

9. Shipping

Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only.

GLYDE is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Couriers

  • Customs authorities

  • Weather

  • Industrial action

  • Natural disasters

  • Public holidays

  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Risk passes to the customer once the parcel has been delivered to the nominated address.

10. International Orders

Customers are responsible for:

  • Import duties

  • Taxes

  • Customs fees

  • Local regulations

  • Import restrictions

GLYDE is not liable for products delayed, refused or confiscated by customs authorities.

11. Returns & Refunds

Returns are governed by our separate Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Customers should read that policy before making a purchase.

12. Warranty

Products are covered by applicable New Zealand consumer legislation and any product-specific warranty provided by GLYDE.

Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or incorrect care.

13. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those laws apply.

Where purchases are made for business purposes, the parties agree, where permitted by law, that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

14. Product Use

Customers are responsible for using products safely and as intended.

This includes:

  • Following fitting instructions.

  • Reading product guides.

  • Using appropriate safety equipment.

  • Supervising children.

  • Maintaining equipment correctly.

Swimming, open water swimming and triathlon involve inherent risks.

GLYDE products do not remove those risks.

15. Medical Advice

Information provided by GLYDE is general in nature and is not medical advice.

Customers should seek professional medical advice where appropriate before undertaking swimming or endurance activities.

16. Intellectual Property

All website content remains the property of GLYDE or its licensors, including:

  • Logos

  • Product names

  • Trademarks

  • Images

  • Videos

  • Graphics

  • Text

  • Product descriptions

  • Designs

  • Downloads

No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without written permission.

17. Reviews & User Content

If you submit reviews, photographs or other content, you grant GLYDE a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish and promote that content in connection with our business.

You confirm that any content you submit:

  • Is accurate.

  • Does not infringe the rights of others.

  • Is not unlawful, offensive or misleading.

We may remove content at our discretion.

18. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party websites.

These are provided for convenience only.

GLYDE is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GLYDE is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising from the use of our website or products.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a product will not exceed the purchase price of that product, except where prohibited by law.

20. Force Majeure

GLYDE is not responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, supplier failures, power outages or transport disruptions.
