What makes GLYDE Different?
Built from 20 years of listening to swimmers and triathletes.
Most wetsuits begin with a design concept and a marketing story. GLYDE began differently—at the front line of swimming.
For more than 20 years, we have worked across swimming retail, wholesale, distribution, coaching and wetsuit development. We have personally fitted thousands of swimmers and worked with products from nearly every major wetsuit brand.
That experience gave us something extremely valuable: honest feedback.
We heard what swimmers loved, but more importantly, we heard what frustrated them—tight chests, restricted shoulders, uncomfortable necklines, confusing sizing, poor body position and expensive features that made little noticeable difference in the water.
GLYDE was created from those conversations.
Designed by people who understand swimming
We are swimmers, coaches and wetsuit specialists. We understand how the body moves through water and how flexibility, buoyancy, balance and drag affect swimming efficiency.
A wetsuit should not simply make a swimmer float. It should support the body in the right places without disrupting natural movement or creating unnecessary resistance.
That is why every GLYDE panel, material, thickness and feature must serve a clear purpose.
If it does not improve comfort, efficiency, body position or confidence, it does not belong on the suit.
No gimmicks. No unnecessary features. No technology added simply because it creates another marketing claim.
Comfort is part of performance
Comfort is sometimes treated as something separate from speed. We believe the two are directly connected.
A swimmer who can breathe comfortably, rotate naturally and move their shoulders freely is more likely to maintain good technique. A suit that feels overly restrictive may be buoyant, but it can also increase fatigue and make swimming less enjoyable.
GLYDE wetsuits are designed to provide:
- Reduced pressure across the chest
- Easier, more natural breathing
- Greater freedom through the shoulders and arms
- Balanced buoyancy and improved body position
- A secure fit without unnecessary restriction
- Greater confidence in open water
The goal is simple: help you feel comfortable enough to relax and efficient enough to swim faster.
Designed for real swimmers and real bodies
Wetsuit sizing has traditionally been built around a limited range of body shapes. Real swimmers are taller, shorter, wider, leaner, stockier and everything in between.
After years of fitting swimmers, we know that matching weight and height on a chart does not always produce the right fit.
GLYDE sizing and cuts have been developed for a wider variety of male and female body shapes. We consider torso length, shoulder width, chest pressure, hip shape and how the suit feels when the swimmer is actually moving.
Whether you are entering your first open-water event, returning to swimming, training for a triathlon or chasing your fastest performance, you deserve a suit designed around how you swim—not how closely you resemble a traditional wetsuit model.
The proof is in our development process
We do not expect swimmers to believe a claim simply because it appears in an advertisement.
Our development process is built around evidence, experience and refinement:
More than 20 years of industry experience
We have worked directly with swimmers across retail, coaching, wholesale, distribution and product development.
Thousands of real wetsuit fittings
We have seen where suits fit well, where they fail and which problems repeatedly appear across different brands and body shapes.
Three complete sampling and refinement rounds
The GLYDE range went through repeated development to improve sizing, panel placement, cut, comfort and freedom of movement before reaching production.
A highly experienced manufacturing partner
Our suits are produced with a factory whose technical experience includes helping develop and launch one of the world’s recognised swimming wetsuit brands.
Performance that can be understood
We focus on measurable and meaningful areas such as buoyancy, flexibility, body position, movement and drag—not simply subjective endorsements from fast athletes.
Continual customer feedback
The development process does not finish when a wetsuit is released. Feedback from real swimmers will continue shaping future fits, features and improvements.
Created for swimmers, not marketing departments
GLYDE is not trying to produce the wetsuit with the longest list of features.
We are creating wetsuits that solve real problems.
Every design decision comes back to what swimmers have told us they need: better comfort, a better fit, easier movement, improved body position and greater confidence in the water.
That is what makes GLYDE different.
Designed for comfort. Built for speed. Made to help every swimmer move through the water more efficiently.
